Job summary

ASR International in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our Corporate Headquarters team. You will handle weekly payroll processing, ensure accuracy, and support multi-state payroll across multiple entities.

The role requires at least three years of hands-on ADP payroll processing experience, with ADP Workforce Now familiarity preferred. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software is a plus, and immediate availability is helpful.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct ADP payroll processing experience.
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
• Experience processing weekly payroll across multiple states.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Working understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll using ADP.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Collect and enter employee timesheets into payroll accounting systems.
• Prepare payroll data for submission to an outside payroll processing service.
• Support multi-state payroll processing and multiple legal entities.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), benefits deductions.
• Research, track, and resolve payroll and accounting discrepancies.
• Work closely with Accounting to support compliance, reporting, invoicing, tax payments, and reconciliations.
