Job summary

ASR International in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our Corporate Headquarters team. The ideal candidate has at least three years of hands-on ADP payroll processing, with ADP Workforce Now expertise strongly preferred, and is available to start immediately.

You will process weekly payroll, reconcile reports, enter timesheets, prepare data for outside processing, support multi-state payroll and multiple entities, and assist with month-end reconciliations and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field highly preferred.
• 3 or more years of direct ADP payroll processing experience required.
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
• Experience processing weekly payroll across multiple states.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, 401(k), benefits deductions, and reconciliations.
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Working understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, reconcile, and manage financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll using ADP.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
• Collect and enter employee timesheets into payroll accounting systems.
• Prepare payroll data for submission to an outside payroll processing service.
• Support multi-state payroll processing and multiple legal entities.
• Prepare payroll journal entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), benefits deductions.
• Research, track, and resolve payroll and accounting discrepancies.
• Work closely with Accounting to support compliance, reporting, invoicing, tax payments, and reconciliations.
