Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a multi-state and multi-company payroll processing role for a medium to large company.
• Two years of payroll management experience beneficial.
• Experience with Oracle Payroll or another similar in-house processing system is a plus.
• Experience with ADP Time and Attendance is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, including compliance and payroll tax, is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Payroll Department activities, including processing of all payrolls to ensure timely and accurate payrolls.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Tax Departments to ensure compliance with all foreign, federal, state and local payroll tax laws; ensure timely payroll withholding deposits.
• Manage all quarterly and year-end reporting requirements, including preparation of W-2s and related filings.
• Ensure outside payroll processing service provides accurate and timely processing and reporting of payroll, including accurate pay rates and current withholdings.
• Work with operating companies and corporate personnel to ensure proper documentation and approval of all payroll transactions.
• Provide all payroll-related information for journal entries and monthly account reconciliations required to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare payroll related requests to support annual audit and federal and state tax filings.
• Maintain and update policies and procedures documentation reflecting changes in governmental tax regulations as appropriate.
• Comply with additional work tasks as requested.
