Job summary

Clopay Corporation is hiring a Payroll Manager in Mason, OH. The successful candidate will oversee all payroll activities, ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax laws, and coordinate with HR and Tax departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience.
• CPP designation is a plus for the candidate.
• Minimum 5 years in a multi-state, multi-company payroll role for a medium/large company.
• Two years of payroll management experience is beneficial.
• Experience with Oracle Payroll or similar in-house processing systems is a plus.
• Experience with ADP Time and Attendance is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and payroll tax compliance is required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Payroll Department activities, including processing payrolls to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Tax Departments to ensure compliance with foreign, federal, state and local payroll tax laws; ensure timely withholding deposits.
• Manage quarterly and year-end reporting requirements, including preparation of W-2s and related filings.
• Ensure accuracy of outsourced payroll processing and reporting of payroll, including current withholdings.
• Collaborate with operating companies and corporate personnel to document and approve payroll transactions.
• Provide payroll information for journal entries and monthly reconciliations for financial reporting.
• Prepare payroll-related requests to support annual audits and tax filings.
• Maintain/update policies reflecting changes in governmental tax regulations.
