Job summary

Archon Resources is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee multi-state payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely compensation across entities. You will lead a payroll team, serve as a subject matter expert, and partner with HR, Accounting, and Operations to drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate brings 8–10 years of payroll leadership, deep knowledge of wage and hour regulations, and experience with multiple payroll systems in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state responsibility.
• Experience leading payroll teams and managing multiple entities.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations.
• Experience with enterprise payroll, HRIS, or workforce management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities and locations across several states.
• Manage varying payroll cycles (weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead, coach, and develop payroll team members while ensuring workload coverage.
• Maintain compliance with wage garnishments, tax levies, and other deductions.
• Improve payroll processes, reporting, and controls with cross-functional partners.
