Job summary

Spurwink is seeking a Payroll Manager in Scarborough, ME to ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and regulatory compliance. You will supervise the payroll team, coordinate with HR, and handle reconciliations and audits.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance, plus 5+ years in payroll management; CPP is a plus and ADP experience is preferred. This is an on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
• CPP preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in payroll management, supervision and processing, administration of finances, and financial accountability preferred.
• Experience with ADP payroll processing is preferred.
• Must have knowledge of wage and hour laws.
• Strong internal control environment and adherence to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the processing of the organization’s bi-weekly payroll while overseeing the supervision of the Payroll team.
• Review quarterly State and Federal tax reporting prepared by ADP prior to filing.
• Act as a liaison between Payroll and Human Resources as well as participate in the organization's HR/Finance shared meetings.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations of payroll accounts as well as other general ledger accounts.
• Assist with the annual financial audit as well as the yearly self-insured worker's compensation audit.
