Job summary

First National Bank Alaska is hiring an HR Specialist-Payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting a positive employee experience.

The role covers compensation, benefits, training and employee relations with emphasis on payroll accuracy and policy adherence. Candidates should be detailed, organized and able to work Monday–Friday, with salary offered commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Three years HR experience in recruiting, compensation, benefits, training or employee relations.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field; substitute for 2 years’ experience.
• Preferred: PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP or equivalents; banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administers and supports key HR functions with knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in recruiting by interviewing exempt-level candidates and building professional networks.
• Act as SME in HR function, analyze requests, research solutions and escalate complex issues.
