Job summary

RurAL CAP in Anchorage, AK seeks a Payroll & Benefits Processor to support payroll data entry, benefits administration, and compliance. This developmental, full-time role focuses on building core HR and payroll competencies with growth opportunities.

Hybrid/remote options available, with standard hours and occasional overtime near month-end close. Applicants should have 1–2 years in admin or payroll-like tasks, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to handle confidential information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in administrative, clerical, or customer service work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines.
• Experience with payroll or benefits support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll data entry for hours, earnings and deductions.
• Review payroll information for accuracy and flag discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll records with proper documentation.
• Support payroll reporting and audits as needed.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, changes and terminations.
• Respond to basic employee questions on benefits and eligibility.
