Job summary

The State of Alaska is hiring an HR Technician 1 in Juneau to analyze, audit, and certify timesheets and to process personnel actions on time and without error. You will ensure payroll and leave transactions comply with personnel rules and state statutes, contributing to accurate pay for state employees.

Qualifications

• Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
• Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college or university equals one year) in any field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, calculate, audit and certify timesheets and process personnel actions on time and without error.
• Assure payroll and leave transactions are in accordance with applicable Personnel Rules, Bargaining Unit provisions, State Statutes, and Standard Operating Procedures.
