Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backends and the React/Next.js checkout UI, build durable payment workflows with Temporal, and ensure high performance and accessibility.

You’ll instrument systems with Datadog/OpenTelemetry and participate in on-call rotations to maintain reliability. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams within the Coinbase developer platform,

Qualifications

3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
PostgreSQL experience with schema design, migrations, query performance, and transactional correctness.
Proven API design experience (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling.
Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions) or with EVM/blockchains.
Clear design docs, PRs, and runbooks to enable collaboration and operational maturity.
Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows and quality.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js checkout experience.
Build buyer checkout UI components with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance.
