Qualifications

• Two years of library experience, including at least one year working with an automated circulation/ILS system.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, software applications, and library technology.
• Ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Patron Services Manager with the daily operations of the department.
• Schedule, train, and supervise Patron Services staff, Computer Lab Associates, and Shelvers.
• Serve as Manager on Duty and oversee library operations in the absence of the Patron Services Manager.
• Assist patrons with information, technology, and library services.
• Address patron concerns and assist with resolving service or procedural issues.
• Assist with the Homebound Library Program.
• Support staff development, training, and continuing education.
• Assist with projects, grants, and other departmental initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
