Job summary

Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District is seeking a Customer Services Specialist to support and lead all customer services functions at the Naperville location. You will train staff, manage schedules, coordinate workflow, and resolve customer issues while upholding library policies and delivering excellent service.

The role involves assisting in developing new services, supporting public service desks, and participating in LINKin and Sierra training.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or specialized training.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Customer Services team and train staff.
• Assist customers and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Process materials and route items as per procedures.
• Enforce library policies and procedures with staff and vendors.
• Handle opening/closing procedures and money transactions.
• Support outreach and coordinate with other departments as needed.
