Job summary

Maywood Public Library District in Maywood, IL is seeking positive, customer service–oriented individuals to join our Patron Services team. Responsibilities include checkout, registration, and assisting patrons with account information.

You will handle fines and fees, process Interlibrary Loan materials, assist with shelving, answer phones, and participate in workshops. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work as part of a team is essential.

• Assists with the flow of items and requests for materials
• Searches shelves for materials and processes Interlibrary Loan materials
• Responsible for reserve shelf maintenance
• Answers telephone and routes calls when necessary
• Attends pertinent workshops and meetings as assigned
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Must be able to bend & stoop, reach up to 70\", remain stationary for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
