Job summary

Oak Street Health, located in Jamaica, NY, is hiring a Welcome Coordinator to create a warm, inclusive environment and deliver a high-touch patient experience. You will manage check-ins, forms, co-pays, and EMR updates while coordinating appointments and calls. The role supports the Service Team and may require occasional travel to nearby centers.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills and Google Suite basics.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by local communities.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests.
• Check-in patients and assist with required forms.
• Collecting co-pays.
• Updating patient information in electronic medical record platform.
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments in the EMR system.
• Managing phone lines, messages, and outbound calls as instructed.
• Maintaining faxes and the Welcome/Community Room areas.
• Occasional float to other centers in the region.
