Job summary

PathGroup in Texas is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office operations, interacting with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff while performing specimen collection and processing with accuracy and professionalism. You will greet customers, collect specimens, explain venipuncture procedures, and document data in PathConnect and other systems.

Maintain logs, organize transport, ensure proper labeling, PPE and safety, comply with privacy and security guidelines,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred (state guidelines may apply).
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; Louisiana requires it.
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and provide professional service.
• Ensure accurate, timely collection of field phlebotomy and PSC specimens.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly to patients.
• Properly dispose of biohazards per laws and policies.
• Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Maintain records and logs for PSC/IOPST and monthly statistics.
• Perform basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
• Work independently and communicate with supervisor as needed.
• Ensure PPE and lab safety; adhere to confidentiality policies.
