UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, TX, seeks a patient services associate responsible for scheduling appointments, check-in/out, verifying benefits, and obtaining authorizations.

You will provide telephone triage, handle inquiries, support financial counseling, and assist with copays and balances. Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills are required. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Formación

• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
• Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
• Effectively communicates verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies and/or obtains all benefits information for patients.
• Obtains authorizations and referrals; assists with copays and balances; supports financial counseling as needed.
• Serves as an insurance resource for clinic staff.
• Resolves insurance issues and stays up to date.
• Handles all phone calls and directs calls to appropriate departments as needed.
• Manages patient appointments per physician schedules and protocols.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
