Descrizione del lavoro

UT Health San Antonio seeks a patient services coordinator to provide frontline care by scheduling appointments, checking in/out patients, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations, and guiding callers with triage. You will support the clinic team as an insurance resource and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, detail orientation, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and solid communication skills.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED required.
Detail oriented with ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints.
Ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

Verifies and/or obtains all benefits insurance information for patients.
Obtains authorizations and referrals; assists in the collection of copays and existing balances due and assists with financial counseling as needed.
Serves as an insurance resource for all clinic staff.
Remains up to date on all insurance issues.
Handles and answers all phone calls and transfers calls to the appropriate departments as needed.
Manages patient appointments according to the physician's schedules and/or protocols.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
