Job summary

UnityPoint Health-Meriter Center for Perinatal Care seeks a Patient Service Representative to provide administrative and clinical support to CPC and MFM leadership and teams. You will greet patients, transcribe orders, handle referrals, prior authorizations, registrations and scheduling, and coordinate care with UPH-Meriter, UW Health and outside providers.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience and basic medical terminology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical support to CPC and MFM leadership and clinical teams.
• Transcribe orders and interpret clinical referral data.
• Perform routine clerical tasks related to patient prior authorization, registration and scheduling.
• Greet and register patients on arrival for CPC appointments.
• Coordinate care between UPH-Meriter, UW Health, and outside referring providers.
