Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Referral Management Specialist I to schedule appointments across multiple specialties within a call center. You will triage patient calls, coordinate with clinical teams, and ensure accurate data collection for patient profiles.

Under supervision, you will maintain current knowledge of services and protocols and deliver high-quality customer service to patients and providers in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years in a medical office or call center environment.
• Experience with Windows, Excel, and intranet tools; strong verbal and written skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment and coordinate with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments across multiple specialties in a call center setting.
• Triage patient calls and direct to appropriate clinical team.
• Act as primary advocate, coordinating patient requests in a single call.
• Collect accurate patient data including demographics, insurance, and contacts.
