Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Intermediate in Ann Arbor, MI. The role involves leading review and processing of template changes, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and providing back-up coverage for other template editors.

You will review patient records for accuracy and maintain health records in EHR systems or paper files. Main duties include retrieving and processing medical records for physicians and external requests, monitoring completion, and following up on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and processing of permanent and temporary template changes across multiple locations.
• Ensure alignment with Cadence Business Team standards, Ambulatory Care Operations Committee scheduling guidelines, and access optimization goals.
• Provide back-up coverage to other template editors in other specialties as needed and as directed by leadership.
• Review incoming patient records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Organize and maintain health records in EHR systems and/or paper files.
• Retrieve, assemble, and process medical records for physicians, clinics, billing departments or external requests.
• Monitor record completion and follow up on missing documentation.
• Train others as needed.
