Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 2 to support our physician offices and clinics. The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care through front-desk duties, insurance verification, scheduling, and accurate data entry.

You may also help mentor junior staff and assist with medical records tasks. The position requires a HS diploma or GED, about 1 year of experience, and involves direct patient interaction in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to schedule, verify insurance, and check-in/check-out procedures.
• Proficient with MS Office and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients and visitors with check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone inquiries.
• Registers patients by collecting and verifying insurance information and demographics.
• Posts payments and input charges, and helps generate daily payment reports.
• Responds to routine inquiries about services and hours of operation; routes complaints appropriately.
• Supports medical records duties including pulling charts, transfers, and filing.
