Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in healthcare or patient services preferred.
• Excellent data entry and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient duties, including check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Registers patients by collecting and verifying insurance information and demographics.
• Accepts payments for services and posts charges using proper codes.
• Generates daily payment reports and reconciles cash drawer.
• Provides accurate information to patients and approved entities; discusses financial arrangements if needed.
• Responds to routine inquiries about services and hours; handles patient complaints appropriately.
