Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Patient Services Specialist 1 to support a physician office/clinic with patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification and phone duties. You will collect and verify insurance data, enter changes into the computer system and assist patients with payments and inquiries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in patient services.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient duties including check-in/check-out and scheduling.
• Verify patient insurance information and demographics; enter changes into system.
• Accept payments for services; post charges and generate daily reports.
• Provide accurate information to patients and discuss financial arrangements as needed.
• Respond to routine inquiries about practice services and hours.
• Assist with medical records duties when requested.
