Job summary

You will assist patients with check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• Education - HS Diploma or GED.
• Experience - Less than 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient duties including check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Assists with patient registration by collecting and verifying insurance information and demographics.
• Accepts payments for physician/clinic services per guidelines and posts payments.
• Generates daily payment reports and reconciles cash drawer.
• Provides accurate patient, medical, financial or procedural information to patients and approved outside entities.
• May discuss financial arrangements with patients and directs them as needed.
• Receives and directs phone calls and assists patients and visitors.
• Responds to routine inquiries concerning practice services and hours of operation.
• Ensures patient complaints are handled appropriately.
• Assists with medical records duties when requested.
