Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking a Patient Services professional to enhance the patient experience through timely follow-up and professional resolution of inquiries and complaints. The role is based at our corporate office in Southfield, MI with a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and remote Wednesday/Friday.

Qualifications

• Know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate GEDC's Mission, Vision and Values in daily work.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws and GEDC policies to ensure compliant behavior.
• Efficiently type, talk, and navigate healthcare platforms to assist patients promptly.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Previous dental or medical billing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed documentation and reports of complaints, issues, interactions and actions taken.
• Independently resolve or escalate patient issues to the Patient Services Manager.
• Assist patients in responding to complaints and general inquiries promptly.
• Facilitate resolution of clinical issues with the Patient Services Manager.
• Perform follow-up processes related to customer service and report to stakeholders.
• Track trends of patient service encounters and suggest resolutions.
• Maintain understanding of services provided by providers in each region.
• Complete patient, insurance and third-party records requests within deadlines.
• Perform other duties as needed by the Manager.
