Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling registration, scheduling, referrals, and phone support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will verify demographics and insurance, process forms, collect copays, and maintain accurate records while delivering compassionate customer service and ensuring HIPAA compliance. EPIC workflows and team collaboration are integral.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reception functions and clinic procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients professionally.
• Schedule appointments and answer calls.
• Manage referrals and authorizations.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance.
• Process forms and medical records accurately.
• Collect copayments and balance daily records.
• Maintain patient documentation and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate interpreter services when needed.
