Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, handling registration, scheduling, referrals, and documentation in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will greet patients, support front desk operations, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate with providers and staff to ensure smooth visits. Training and growth opportunities are available within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reception functions and clinic workflows.
• Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, register, check in/out patients professionally.
• Answer calls, provide information and schedule appointments.
• Enter and manage referrals, obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Process registration forms, consent docs and medical records.
• Collect copayments and balance daily records accurately.
• Scan and index patient documentation.
• Coordinate interpreter services when needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality.
