Job summary

HealthPoint seeks a Float Patient Services Representative I to handle front desk duties across multiple clinic sites, including greeting patients, scheduling, registrations, data entry, and payments. You will deliver excellent customer service and support across King County clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Customer Service or Healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write basic correspondence.
• Basic operating knowledge of computers, Word, Excel, and Outlook; EHR knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet clinic patients, families and visitors.
• Check-in: verify demographics, insurance, and collect copays.
• Educate patients on HealthPoint services and navigate services.
• Explain medical/dental insurance basics: copays, coinsurance, deductibles.
• Check-out: schedule follow-ups, provide documents, collect balances, establish payment plans.
• Screen and route appointment-related calls; document in EHR.
• Explain financial assistance programs, including Sliding Fee Program.
• Maintain accurate schedules; coordinate with care teams; ensure patient flow.
• Assist with complex scheduling and procedure coordination.
