Job summary

i-Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Hudson, WI, to handle patient registration, check-in, and clinical support duties. Monday–Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional evenings until 8:00 PM, weekend backup one quarter for urgent care in Woodbury, and cross-coverage at Hudson and Stillwater.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Customer service experience required.
• Administrative or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID.
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current practices.
• Schedule new and existing patients accurately in the practice management system.
• Communicate appointment details, directions, check-in times and copayments to patients.
• Prepare and manage patient charts; maintain knowledge of health plan requirements.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families and staff.
• Assist with switchboard duties: handling calls and coordinating interpreters and referrals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
