You will handle phone calls and in-person interactions with care and accuracy, ensuring a positive patient experience within a busy medical practice.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED accepted) and 0–2 years of customer service experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years prior physician office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and registers them, verifies insurance, collects co-pays.
• Updates patient demographic and company information.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Liaises between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling appointments.
• Ensures patient safety and confidentiality.
• Completes daily reconciliation reports for charges.
• Pulls and files patient charts.
