Job summary

NorthBay Healthcare Group is seeking a Patient Services Representative II to perform front office duties including reception, registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification and medical records management for Ambulatory Division practices.

You will work as part of a clerical and customer service team, handling demographic data, eligibility checks, co-pays, and HIPAA-compliant processing while delivering a professional, patient-centered experience.

Qualifications

• Some college business or computer coursework preferred.
• Course work in medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and verifies registration and insurance information for entry into the EMR.
• Schedules appointments and manages reception or related inquiries.
• Verifies eligibility and collects co-pays and fees, reconciling payments.
• Maintains patient records and ensures HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI.
• Provides orientation and supports other staff as needed.
