Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eden Prairie, MN is hiring a Patient Services Representative to handle patient registration, check-in, and basic clinical support. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday with rotating start times and possible evenings and weekend coverage at the Eden Prairie location.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, customer service experience, and familiarity with office software. Prior medical office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Greet and register patients; collect payments and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID for incoming patients
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the practice management systems
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments
• Chart preparation and management including preparing for outreach events
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, employers and clinic staff
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals
• Any and all other duties as assigned
