Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is hiring a part-time Patient Services Representative to handle patient registration, check-in, and clinical support duties in the orthopedic urgent care setting.

The role is 0.225 FTE with Saturday 2:00 PM–8:00 PM shifts, occasional evenings, and potential extra evenings/weekends at Woodbury & Vadnais Heights locations. A $1,500 sign-on bonus applies for select roles with a 12-month commitment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Customer service experience required.
• Administrative or Medical Office experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo ID
• Verify and document insurance information as defined by current business practices
• Accurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management system
• Communicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copayments
• Chart preparation and management
• Maintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families, and staff
• Rotation of Switchboard Operator duties which include: accepting, handling and transferring calls, coordination of interpreters for clinic appointments, and coordination of patient referrals
• Any and all other duties as assigned
