Job summary

Twin Cities Pain Clinic is seeking a Patient Services Representative to provide front-line patient support and administrative functions in a 100% in-office environment. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, process payments, and assist with paperwork to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires excellent communication, strong customer service, and the ability to work well in a team while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or healthcare experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of strong customer service and phone skills with good listening and communication.
• Experience in a medical/healthcare setting or insurance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, verifies identity, and records accurate demographic information.
• Assists patients with completion of paperwork (consent forms, medical history) and documentation.
• Updates patient records in the EHR system.
• Complies with HIPAA policies to ensure confidentiality.
• Schedules and manages appointments, including reminders and scheduling conflicts.
• Handles cancellations and rescheduling; supports clinic schedulers during peak times.
• Verifies insurance benefits and assists with patient insurance correspondence.
• Collects co-pays and payments at check-in.
• Directs patients to Billing for inquiries and payment plans.
• Answers calls, emails; handles inquiries professionally.
• Maintains charts and files; supports clerical tasks.
