Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; 1-2 years of experience in customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in a medical practice desired
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assists with registration forms
• Maintains and updates patient information
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains referrals for office visits
• Works under the guidance of Supervisor and follows department policies
• Responds to patient inquiries in a professional manner
• Stays updated with information regarding insurance programs
• Provides excellent customer service in person and on the phone
