Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Services Representative for our clinic in Tucson, AZ. The role supports front desk operations, patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and daily reconciliation while upholding HIPAA standards.

The incumbent will handle patient check-in/out, collect payments, update demographics, and collaborate with providers and staff to ensure a smooth patient experience. 1 year of clinic exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, 0–1 years in clinic/medical setting required
• Experience in patient services, billing, or front desk operations preferred
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements

Responsibilities

• Register patients in the EMR and collect accurate demographic information
• Process check-in/out, collect payments (copays/deductibles) and post charges
• Verify insurance eligibility and scan cards at each visit
• Gather signed consents and PHI forms; ensure documentation is complete
• Schedule and manage appointments; document cancellations or reschedules
• Provide general administrative support to staff and providers
