Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. seeks a Patient Services Specialist to manage front-end operations at our Tucson clinic, including patient registration, demographic verification, and updating electronic charts in the EHR/EPM system.

You will handle incoming calls, schedule intake appointments within established timeframes, verify insurance, collect amounts due, and assist uninsured patients with AHCCCS screening referrals, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Healthcare is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience with insurance verification and/or front desk experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
• Must have knowledge of AHCCCS, insurance, and strong customer service skills.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle front-end clinic operations including patient registration and demographic verification.
• Answer calls, route to appropriate staff, and schedule intake appointments in the EHR/EPM system.
• Verify insurance for each visit and identify amounts due; assist uninsured with AHCCCS screening referral.
• Notify clinical team when registration completes and schedule follow-up appointments.
