Job summary

CHS Career Site is hiring a Patient Services Representative for a Primary Care clinic in Tucson, AZ. The role provides front desk support, registers patients, verifies eligibility, schedules visits, and handles billing steps to ensure smooth patient flow.

The successful candidate will have an Associate degree (preferred) and 0–1 years in a healthcare setting, with strong communication and HIPAA awareness. On-site work with comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a clinic, medical office, or similar healthcare setting required.
• Experience in patient services, billing, or front desk operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in the clinic EMR with accurate information.
• Checks in/out patients at front desk and posts time-of-service payments.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and scans cards at every visit.
• Ensures consents and PHI forms are signed before treatment.
• Schedules and manages patient appointments in the EMR.
• Assists with charge entry and closes encounters following coding.
• Responds to inquiries via phone and messages professionally.
• Monitors waiting areas and maintains patient satisfaction.
• Performs other duties and supports clinic staff as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to policies.
