Job summary

VIP Medical Group in Woodbridge, NJ is seeking a Medical Receptionist to greet patients, triage visits, and help keep the patient flow smooth at multiple locations including Woodbridge, Morristown, and Morris County.

The role requires a friendly, problem-solving mindset, experience with EMR systems is preferred, and Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities include answering calls, handling inquiries, managing medical records and coordinating with staff to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Receptionist preferred.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• EMR systems (1 year preferred)
• Spanish proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet registered patients upon their visit, triage patients through the patient flow process, and ensure a smooth experience.
• Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of clinical equipment, promptly escalating issues to the supervisor.
• Answer phones, emails, respond to inquiries, and triage calls to appropriate personnel.
• Fulfill clerical responsibilities, such as sending/receiving/scanning medical records, obtaining diagnostic reports and managing the charting process.
• Collect co-payments, update EMR system, insurance verification.
