Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience required.
• No certificate/license required.

Responsibilities

• Interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and provide supportive service.
• Maintain excellent patient interactions through clear communication and problem solving.
• Assess walk-in traffic for potential emergencies.
• Check-in patients at front desk and scan documents into charts.
• Assist with pre-registration forms and distribute medical records.
• Inform patients of costs and collect fees to update charts.
• Collect copayments and balances and balance cash drawer daily.
• Cover medical records and prior authorizations when needed.
• Communicate needs of patients to back-office staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Answer phone professionally and route calls.
• Ensure reception area is clean; sanitize surfaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
