Ally Medical is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support patients with registrations, insurance verification, and payment collection at the point of service. You will enter data into the EHR and billing systems and maintain accurate records.

The role emphasizes excellent listening, service orientation, and accuracy in handling medical terminology and cash receipts, while upholding privacy and security policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of clerical support experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is expected.

Responsabilités

• Provides front office registration duties such as collecting patient demographic information, inputting insurance information, verifying benefits, and acquiring signatures on ER consent forms.
• Enters patient information into the EHR and billing software and completes records by scanning signed documents and medical reports.
• Maintains and files patient records for the required retention period.
• Provides medical records to other providers upon authorization to release information signed by the patient.
• Logs payments and cash receipts and maintains the cash drawer during shifts.
• Maintains accurate records for the billing office through the payment log and payer information.
