PRN Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Services Representative to deliver outstanding customer service and administrative support, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our patients. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance details, and coordinate with clinical staff to create a seamless patient journey—while traveling to other North San Diego clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
• Proven experience in a customer service role; healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency in using office software and scheduling systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients with professionalism and warmth.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries in person and over the phone.
• Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and necessary documentation accurately.
• Help create a positive work environment by ensuring patient needs are addressed during therapy transitions. Provide customer service with a smile.
• Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient experience.
• Assist front office tasks during downtime including answering the phone, scanning documents, scheduling patients, taking payments, filing, and faxing.
• Liaise between patients, clinical staff, and other departments; communicate clearly to address concerns.
• Maintain a clean reception area and assist in managing supplies; participate in team meetings for process improvements.
