Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time receptionist to join our patient services team. You will manage multi-line phones, schedule outpatient tests and appointments, verify demographics and insurance information, and greet patients in a professional manner.

Proficiency with medical terminology and basic office software is preferred. The role emphasizes accurate check-in/out processing, handling co-pays, and coordinating with CBO staff on balances.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones promptly and courteously; routes calls to the appropriate area.
• Schedules and manages outpatient appointments and tests per policy.
• Prepares patient charts and paperwork; verifies demographics and insurance information.
• Greets patients/visitors professionally and explains privacy policies.
• Handles check-in/check-out and collects co-payments per policy.
• Performs required clerical duties and assists across Capital Health Medical Group practices.
