Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience as receptionist or clerk in healthcare environment or one year customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Medical assistant or medical office technician certification preferred.
• Proficient computer skills and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones promptly and courteously, routing calls to the appropriate area.
• Schedules and cancels appointments per office guidelines and registers patients.
• Verifies demographics and insurance information, and collects co-payments.
• Informs patients of privacy policies and delays in physician schedules.
• Performs day-end reconciliation of batches and maintains accurate records.
• Supports other Capital Health Medical Group practices as needed.
