Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Medical assistant or medical office technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones promptly and courteously; route calls to appropriate area/individual.
• Schedule and cancel appointments; prepare patient charts and demographics.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; collect co-payments and balances.
• Perform registration and check-in/out processes; ensure privacy policies are followed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and document in the system; handle referrals and authorizations.
