Job summary

Bon Secours Amelia Medical Associates is seeking a Patient Services Representative to be the first line of quality service for patients and the community. You will register patients, verify demographics, collect insurance information, and explain financial options while maintaining accurate records and scheduling.

Responsibilities include processing admissions paperwork, handling referrals, assisting with MyChart and online scheduling, processing payments, and reconciling cash at day end.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographics; obtain insurance cards and patient ID.
• Schedule appointments and transcribe orders; explain financial options to patients.
• Update medical records accurately and efficiently; provide exceptional customer service.
• Process admissions paperwork and basic insurance verification; correct registration errors as needed.
• Assist with scheduling referrals and follow-up appointments; manage online scheduling and MyChart as needed.
• Handle patient payments and reconcile cash drawer at end of day.
