Job summary

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong computer skills, and prior customer relations or medical records software experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Customer relations experience required.
• Experience with Medical Records Software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify caring and compassionate customer service to create an excellent patient experience.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients and families in sensitive situations.
• Projects critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment; work with a team or independently.
• Manage patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection and cash receipting, and front desk activities per guidelines.
• Promote front-end technology use during registration; maintain accurate patient information across encounter.
• Enter and maintain confidential patient data including insurance, billing, and payments; assist billing as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency codes and applicable regulations; ensure safety compliance.
• Monitor inventory and stock medications and emergency equipment.
