Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a part-time front desk professional to greet patients, collect payments and verify demographics. You will use EPIC to register walk-ins, review insurance, and coordinate with the Financial Advocate on patient resources.

Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of Medicare/HIPAA policies. The role supports scheduling and patient flow with a focus on courteous, accurate service.

Competenze

• 1 year of customer service or clerical experience.
• Ability to explain Medicare/HIPAA rules and insurance pre-certification requirements.
• Strong communication and math skills.

Mansioni

• Greets and checks in patients arriving for appointments.
• Verifies patient information and collects responsibility.
• Communicates expected patient payment at time of service.
• Identifies patients needing financial assistance and refers to Financial Advocate.
• Monitors patient flow and performs visit closures, including billing steps.
• Schedules patient visits and assists with onboarding of new caregivers.
• Works EPIC queues and follows department workflow.
• Maintains professional relations with patients and staff and communicates issues for process improvements.
• Keeps knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and payer requirements up to date.
