Job summary

CommuniCare Health Center Careers is seeking a front desk/patient services representative responsible for answering phones, making appointments, and delivering exemplary customer service.

You will assist with referrals, verify insurance, enter data into NextGen EPM, and help maintain compliant appointment systems.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and bilingual communication in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and keyboarding.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone etiquette and courteous service to every caller.
• Schedule patient appointments using provider templates and keep demographics current.
• Inform patients about required documents and Sliding Fee Scale; verify referrals.
• Refer calls promptly to appropriate clinic or nurse for urgent needs.
• Escalate complex or unhappy calls to directors to ensure satisfaction and confidentiality.
• Deliver excellent internal/external customer service to assist with health care needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
