Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System seeks a Patient Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact in an ambulatory clinic. You will greet patients, check in, verify insurance, and support MyChart and EMR processes to ensure accurate scheduling and registration.

In this role you will handle high volume check-in/out, answer calls, collect copays, and coordinate pre-visit and post-visit workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service or health care experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Visit Scheduling: schedule referrals, in person, telehealth, or procedures.
• Check-in/out responsibilities and phone reception in a high-volume clinic.
• Register patients: collect demographics, verify insurance, and process forms.
• Support MyChart activation and EMR documentation for appointments.
• Post-Visit: scheduling follow-ups and ensuring patient care Continuity.
